Notes

A very rare guitar made in Germany. A collectors item made by Otto Windisch ? Otmar Windish. If you do some investigations you will find out what I mean. A beautifull instrument, definitely not a steelstrung !! Because of the use of steelstrings the top went in and the strutting was damaged. It is the most unusual strutting I have ever seen and I wonder if it is patented? I will experiment with it anyway. Windisch did put all his knowledge and craftmenship in this guitar. A modern look head with fat aluminiun rolers, a handmade solid wood cut away, a big body, a very fine adjustable neck, a floating fretboard. The result is a unique guitar with a gipsy/classical look and sound. The top is german spruce with silver lines and the back and sides are maple. I did repaire this guitar to the best of my ability but I did (on pupose) not refinish the surface. It has a mature 45 year old colour which I never can copy. You can see scratches and and other marks, so what? Everything on this instrument is original. The inlays in binding and roset are made of ebony. All my instruments have a straight neck and are comfortable to play. The sound is deep, warm and transparent with good sustain with a bit more basses than trebles. The sound is not easy to describe because I can not compare it with anything I have heard so far. A very well playable collectors item. It will be difficult to find something similar. In short a valuable guitar.
