Oviedo Asturias

A Spanish guitar but not from the south of Spain where they normaly are made but from the northern province Asturias ! Build in Oviedo, Plaza la Gesta's. It is a solid build instrument with a top made out of two layers different spruce with no fan strutting ! The top is very nice bookmatched german spruce and is connected to the side with tentalones. The sides and back are made of nice mahogany. I did repair this instrument to the best of my ability. The top has a binding and purfling the back not. The roset is nice. You do not find often guitars from this part of Spain. This is your change to get a rare Spanisch instrument which is easy to play. The sound is dry and transparant with good sustain. The basses and trebles are well balanced! I never had a guitar which sounds so sad, melancholic like this one. I do't no if it will be different with other strings but I quite like it as it is.
