Apex International is founded in 1978 by Kamel Chenaouy in France.
Production is initially transfered to Japan, while he designs, sets up and markets the APEX programmable guitar, and the digital one (numerique), presented to the Salon de Paris in 1981.
Kamel is currently moderating and mentoring a community of luthiers via his website.
