"Sunn, 1965-2002. Started in Oregon by brothers Conrad & Norm Sundhold (Norm was the bass player for Kingsman). Sunn introduced powerful amps and extra heavy duty bottoms and was soon popular with many major rock acts. Norm sold his interest to Conrad in '69. Conrad sold the company to the Hartzell Corporation of Minnesota around '72.
Fender Musical Instruments acquired the brand in '85 shortly after parting ways with CBS and used the brand until '89. They resurrected the brand again in '98 but quit offering the name in 2002."
