How to...
... enter a model's specifications?- Click on the '[Update]' label, located after the model name:
- The form to enter specs is then brought up on the right pane of the screen.
- Enter (or select) all details you know about the model.
- Once finished, click on the 'Update Model' button to save your entries.
... upload one or more pics for a model?- Click on the '[Upload Pic]' label:
- A field, related to the picture filename, is then brought up on the right pane of the screen.
- Click the button on the right to select the corresponding file.
- The (full) filename is displayed into the field.
- Enter the optional label. If you enter something here, this label is going to be used later when the pic is displayed, to build up the 'Courtesy (label)' mention.
- Once done, click on the 'Send Picture' button to import the picture into GuitarDir.
- Repeat the same process for each picture.
- Warning: New pictures remain invisible until they have been checked by GuitarDir: May be a matter of hours or one to two days maximum!
... enter specifications for a model you don't know the maker or brand?- Create a new model with the 'UNKNOWN' generic maker. Someone will try to find out who made it.
... create a missing brand/maker into GuitarDir?- Just drop a message into the Forum.
... create a missing series into GuitarDir?- Just drop a message into the Forum.
... create a missing model into GuitarDir?- First display all models for the brand/maker, and carefully check the model is really missing.
- To create a new model, click on the '[New Model]' label located:
- Close to the corresponding series, if the model belongs to it,
- Close to the brand name, if the model doesn't belong to a displayed series.
- A field, containing the label 'New Model', is displayed on the right pane of the screen.
- Replace the 'New Model' label with the correct name,
- Validate this new model by clicking on the 'Create Model' button .
- Warning: This new model will be visible only after all brand's models are displayed again.
